They were located at 49 to 51 Victoria Street, Windsor. In Kelly's directory of 1887 the entry under Windsor was as follows:
Burge & Co., brewers, Victoria brewery, Victoria street.
However in Kelly's directory of 1899, the entry under Windsor was as follows:
Burge & Co., brewers & wine & spirit merchants, Victoria street
Although trading as Burge & Co. before this, in 1920 Burge & Co. Limited was formed. This company was effectively sold in November 1931 to Meux's Brewery Co. Limited and by March 1932 the Victoria brewery was effectively closed.
Pictures 1-3 below show the Burge & Co. Brewery firstly as it was and then in pictures 2 and 3 when it was being demolished. The last 2 pictures show a sign on a pub (The Noah's Ark) in Windsor and an advert of Burge & Co.
So I would like to find the stone ginger beer bottles for this period. I am told there are 3 known ginger beers relating to Burge & Co. I have 2 of these as per the picture below but the other one is unknown to me and I am unsure what it looks like. I am told that the transfer reads "Burge & Co. Limited" and therefore must date to on or after 1920.
I would like to find the other one though and of course any currently unknown ones which may exist somewhere! - please help me to find them!!!
