Unfortunately so far I have only managed to collect one damaged Gilbertson's Wedge Poison.  It is not even a 2oz only a 1oz:

Gilbertson's poisons or more correctly H. Gilbertson & Sons Wedge Poisons are a rare bottle.  They are an extremely early patent poison bottle.  They are only recorded in clear glass and more rarely in green glass.  There appear to be no bottle mould variations.  All examples have a number recorded on the bottom of the thin end of the wedge which relates to the oz size of the bottle.  Recorded examples vary in size from 1 to 10 oz.

It has a Patent no. of 4417 dated October 1861.

The wording on the bottle above is as follows:

Side:  H. GILBERTSON & SONS

Other Side:  REGD. 30TH OCTR, 1861.

Bottom:  blank

Top:  POISON

Thin End Of Wedge: 1

Gilbertson also produced a much later ordinary hexagonal poison.  These are also quite rare poisons and are only ever seen in green.  The wording on the bottle does vary somewhat.

It has a Patent no. of 118583 dated 29th January 1889.

The wording on the bottle above is as follows:

Front:  NOT TO BE TAKEN

Back:  blank.

Bottom:  GILBERTSON / 2oz
