Ferris & Co. Ltd Bottles

Unfortunately so far I have only managed to collect one 2oz Ferris & Co. Ltd. Poison:

The Ferris & Co. Ltd. poison bottles are quite a rare poison.  They are a round poison and have vertical ribs on the front, with 'POISON' embossed half way up the front where there is a break in the ribs.  They are made in Bristol.  They are only found in an aquary / ice blue colour and are only found in 2oz and one larger size, probably 4oz.  There is one known 3/4 circle example known in amber, with a flat side containing ribbing and the word 'POISON' half way up which is probably a 1oz.

It is not clear what the Patent no. of this bottle is but the company was a long established company since the 18th Century.

Closure:  Cork / Possibly ground glass stopper?

Front:  POISON

Back:  FERRIS & CO. LTD. / BRISTOL

Bottom:  blank
