Eton Star Poison Bottles

 

Unfortunately so far I have only managed to collect two 2oz Eton Star Poisons:

The Eton 'Star' poison bottles are a very late poison and are rare because of this.  Rare versions have the registration number on the bottom.  There is also a rare version with vertical ribs instead of horizontal ones.  The colours vary from green, blue and amber and have various sizes.  The bottles were made in narrow neck and more rarely wide-mouth versions.  I have noticed that some are slimmer and taller than others despite being the same ounce size.  My two 2oz ones are about 9mm difference in height which is quite substantial.

 

It has a Patent no. of  716057 dated 17th September 1925.

 

The wording on the first bottle above is as follows:

 

Version:  Green, narrow neck, cork, normal version

Version:  Cobalt Blue, wide mouth, cork, normal version
